Research

Here is some of the summarised infromation:

The Respiratory System is the part of the body in which helps us breathe. The lungs and other chest muscles help us do this, but how does it work? Well when you inhale (breathe in) the diaphragm (the muscles located below the lungs, the main respiratory muscle) becomes tighter and moves downward. This leaves plenty of room in the chest cavity, so the lungs expand. After the lungs expand air travels up your nose or through your mouth, through the windpipe, bronchial tubes, into the lungs and then into the alveoli (air sacs).
